Azelio chooses DNV-GL to verify its storage technology

Azelio has signed an agreement with DNV-GL for verification of its storage technology with production of electricity around the clock. DNV-GL is a global leader in industrial certification. The verification will begin during the first quarter of 2020 and aims to register data in real-life conditions and make the technology bankable.

Azelio has signed several Memorandum of Understandings during the past six months and installed two verification projects, one in connection with the company's development center in Åmål, Sweden and one in cooperation with Masen in the world-leading solar park Noor in Morocco. Another verification project will be installed in Abu Dhabi in 2020 together with Masdar and Khalifa University. Azelio has now chosen DNV-GL to verify its storage technology and make it bankable in order for customers to finance projects using Azelio's solution.

The verification will start during the first quarter of 2020 and will include testing of the technology in a relevant environment during different seasons. Updated reports from the verification will be delivered on an ongoing basis.

Due to the current situation with the coronavirus, trips to and from Morocco are not possible. This means that the verification begins with an administrative review phase and focus on the verification installation in Åmål, Sweden.
