It can be scaled up economically to sustain electricity provision for multiple hours, days, or even weeks – with the potential to significantly contribute to a decarbonized economy.

Flexibility

Long-duration storage offers flexibility

Long-duration energy storage solutions complement short-duration storage. The TES.POD can be deployed as a standalone solution with solar PV, or in a hybrid system, together with other renewable technologies such as batteries.

The TES.POD has no degradation in capacity over time, and a lifespan of 30 years. The heart of the system is the 100% recycled aluminum alloy, heated up to 600° C (1110°F) to store from renewable energy such as solar or wind. The solution requires no replacements and has zero downtime during servicing.
